Part-Time Marketing Administrator
Mythology LLC, a marketing management consulting firm based in Charleston, WV, is seeking a highly professional part-time office administrator to work in our fast-paced, yet laid-back, environment.
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable with 20-25 hours a week. A full-time opportunity may develop in the future. We are flexible with work schedules as long as a signficant amount of time each week is spent in the office for team and project meetings.
Due to the pace of our work environment, we seek an experienced administrator who is able to be proactive in finding problems to solve and ways to add value without detailed direction. We need someone to find it, and fix it!
This role requires a range of tasks, from very mundane data entry to opportunities to be creative and change the way we do things.
We are a very diverse, ambitious, laid-back group at Mythology, unified by a passion for breakthrough, innovative thinking and delivering great results for clients with “crazy ideas" and a structured way of making them real. Although we are structured with clients, we need someone to help us build our own structure - so the successful candidate will need to build some process to apply to our madness while maintaining flexibility and a willingness to have fun along the way.
Responsibilities Include:
- Data entry - survey results, customer contacts, marketing reports, etc.
- Use of web-based tools to develop surveys, newsletters and web pages
- Use of project management tools such as Basecamp
- Financial accounting, accounts payable, expense reporting, tax document preparation
- Creating forms, templates and web pages to streamline workflow
- Creating spreadsheets and charts
- Creating presentation slides
- Professional phone and written correspondence with clients, partners and vendors
- Overall organization and maintenance of the office environment
- Willingness to learn new things quickly and tackle new tasks as needed
Experience, Skills and Abilities Required:
- At least two years of administrative experience in a fast-paced office environment
- Proven experience thinking in structured ways to help make complex tasks a little more simple
- EXCELLENT Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- The ability to learn new skills and tools very quickly and apply them to our work
- A passion for accuracy, grammar, spelling and overall quality
