Verizon West Virginia, the largest telecommunications services provider in the state and 2nd largest in the country, and HistoryMakers, a vibrant nonprofit dedicated to capturing the history of African Americans through the largest archive of personal stories. 

Marketing Challenge: 

Verizon planned to strengthen its brand via a cause marketing initiative in support of Black History Month in partnership with the non-profit media producer The HistoryMakers. The event, "A Conversation with Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr." would also be aired on PBS nationwide.
